By engaging students in project based learning, they get to spend more of their
time developing the skills they will need for the future. They get opportunities to collaborate, engage in real world research. It teaches them to explore authentic problems and challenges. Project-based learning is a dynamic approach to teaching which
actively engages students in learning, students are motivated to obtain a deeper
knowledge of the subjects they are studying. As Teachers we will have to plan meaningful projects that will enable students to acquire 21 st century skills as
well as content. Some of these skills include communication and presentation
skills, organization and time management skills, research and inquiry
skills, self-assessment and reflection skills, and group participation
and leadership skills.
